Inquiry:

Answering the Atheist, innocent children

In 1 Samuel 15:3 God orders the slaughter of men, women, and children, including infants. Isn’t that a contradiction to the fact that God is reluctant to punish the innocent with the guilty (Genesis 18:23-33), especially infants and innocent children that can’t make moral choices. How is gthe killing of innocent children and infants justifed? Is there a contradiction?

Did Saul’s family die with him? 1 Chronicles 10:6 says all of his family died with him, but 2 Samuel 2:7-9 says that Saul was survived by one son, Ishbosheth. Is there a contradiction?

Who killed Saul? 1 Samuel 31:4-6 says that Saul killed himself. However, 2 Samuel 1:9-10 says that a young Amalekite man killed him. Is there a contradiction?
