While in conversation with Jesus, the Jews asked Him, “Who are You?” (John 8:25), and again, “Whom do You make Yourself out to be?” (8:53). In the context, He identified Himself as “the Son of Man” (8:28; cf. Daniel 7:13), the “Son” of God (8:36, 54) and the “I AM” (8:24, 28, 58). He was as clear as could be about His identity; He claimed to be deity—God. And, His questioners understood Him, for “…they took up stones to throw at Him…” (John 8:59). On a subsequent occasion, He asked them why they sought to stone Him (John 10:31-32). Their response, “…because You, being a Man, make Yourself God” (10:33).

The 2010 Olympics will begin in Vancouver BC. Several television networks from around the world will be broadcasting the Games. CTV provides coverage in Canda. Canadian Olympians want to quickly lose the stigma of seldom winning gold on home soil. Over the past year, CTV ran an ad campaign entitled, “Do You Believe,” focusing on Canada’s athletes, their training and their Olympic dreams. It has been an interesting campaign and has certainly captured my interest. I applaud CTV.

Was God happy with Creation? Answering the Atheist

Inquiry:

Answering the Atheist, creation

How satisfied was God with creation? God said “it was good” after each of his labours and rests on the seventh day, evidently, very satisfied.

However, God has to fix up his creation as he goes, and he would certainly not be very satisfied with the disobedience of that primordial couple. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)

Is there a contradiction?
